Extended weekday hours during filing season
From roughly late January through the April filing deadline, many offices stay open later on Tuesdays and Thursdays to handle the busy season. 2026 Saturday help dates
On a handful of Saturdays each year, the IRS opens selected offices from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for face-to-face help. For 2026 the dates are:
